Everyone in our house is calling for the abolishment of this trial-by-camera nonsense. (Well, that’s an exaggeration. My mum doesn’t give a toss.)
Double-hitting, making any touch of the environment when playing a hazard, etc - ridiculous errors that cost you a penalty, that are only noticed now that we have these crazy slow-mo cameras. If you’re going to retrospectively penalise players based on actions picked up on camera, that is unquestionably unfair, because golf is a sport in which not every player is filmed - you’ve got players like Tiger and Rory, or the rest of the top dogs, whose every shot is on camera, then you’ve got the no. 87s of the world or whatever, who scrape by the cut and who are never going to be subject to this, because they’re not being followed by a camera crew at every hole.
